Middle Power (In)Security

Featuring:

  • Tina Fordham: Founder & Geopolitical Strategist, Fordham Global Foresight
  • David C. Logan (Moderator): Assistant Professor of Security Studies, The Fletcher School
  • Additional speakers to be announced

In an era of intensifying great power rivalry, shifting alliances, and mounting uncertainty, the so-called “middle powers” of Europe and Asia find themselves at a pivotal moment. How can they navigate this era of profound global change, and how might they shape the emerging international order?

Join us for a conversation on the security challenges and opportunities facing these states in an evolving geopolitical environment. The panel will examine the security situation facing Europe and Asia. Our panelists will explore how middle powers and non-state actors are navigating challenges from regional conflict and economic coercion to technological disruption and supply chain vulnerability, while also examining potential opportunities to foster innovation and deepen cooperation between Europe and the Indo-Pacific.

Kelly Sims Gallagher, F00, FG03, Dean of The Fletcher School, will provide welcome remarks.

Chatham House rule will be observed.

We are grateful to Ambassador Cooreman and K&L Gates for their generosity and hospitality.
